This is a list of general templates that may be used where needed on any page.

{{spoiler}} Spoiler	---- This is a disambiguation page — a navigational aid which lists pages that might otherwise share the same title. If an article link referred you here, you might want to go back and fix it to point directly to the intended page.	This template is to be put directly before any content in an article which would spoil the enjoyment of those who have not yet read or viewed the item being written about. Any content above a spoiler warning should inform without giving away the details listed below the spoiler line.
{{wrongtitle|title=Correct Title}} Wrong Title	The title of this article is incorrect due to technical limitations. The correct title is Correct Title.	Due to technical limitations of the MediaWiki software, some titles are not allowed by the system. Instead, give the article a suitble name. For example, for an article about #philadelphia, call it Philadelphia (chat channel) and apply this title with the correct title inserted. Also use the correct title when refering to the item within its own article or on other articles.
{{Wikipedia|Article Title}} Wikipedia Quotation	Some of this page is derived from Wikipedia. The original article was at Article Title. The list of authors can be seen in the page history. {{Current}} Current On-going Event	This article contains information about a current event Information may change rapidly as the event progresses.	This template is to be put near to the top of any page which contains information about something that is currently happening and has information which may be changing very quickly.
{{Inuse}} In Use	This article is actively undergoing a major edit. As a courtesy, please do not make edits to this article while this message is displayed, in order to avoid edit conflicts. If you need to know who is working on the article and when the edit session began, please check the edit history.	This template may be used if you want to make a big change to an article and not have other users make little edits while you are working, causing an Edit Conflict when you try to save. Place this template at the top of the page, put 'Marked In Use' in the Edit Summary and Save Changes before choosing to Edit again. Remember to remove it when you make your final save. If you find this template on a page, check the page's edit history to see when it was applied. If it is over an hour old, its probably safe to remove and continue editing.

To mark pages or images for deletion, please use the following templates. Currently there is no Article Deletion Template, as we are asking users to be bold in writing their articles and if you come across an article that you think should be deleted, instead please think about what could be done to revise it.

If you don't want the file deleted, please vote against its deletion there. Do not remove this notice while the question is being considered. However, you are welcome to make improvements to this image.	This template is for marking an image for deletion. As well as adding this tag, please make up an entry on the Philadelphia:Images and media for deletion page, stating why you think the image should be deleted. If you find this tag on an image, do not remove it until the dispute has been resolved.
{{SpeedyDelete}} Speedy Deletion	This page is a candidate for speedy deletion. If you disagree with its speedy deletion, please explain why on its talk page or at Philadelphia:Speedy deletion. If this page obviously does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from an article that you have created yourself. Administrators - Remember to check if anything links here and the page history (last edit) before deleting.	This template is for marking an article for speedy deletion. Place this at the top of the page to mark the Deletion. Warning: Do not list articles which have some content as needing deleting. Instead consider revising. Using this tag where administrators decide an article has some merit could lead to yourself being banned. Contact an Administrator if you are even slightly unsure.

These templates for placing on the description pages of images to mark what copyright they carry, please remember to tag all your images correctly, otherwise they may be deleted. If none of the templates below is suitable, and there is one over at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags that is, feel free to copy it over here and use it instead.

This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which come from Press Packs. They are normally copyrighted but since they were originally made for publishing by the press, it is considered fair use to use them to be displayed here. If the images come with any requirements over the copyright message that should accompany them, please print the copyright message along with this template.
{{PDImage}} Public Domain Image	File:PD-icon.png This image has been released into the public domain by the copyright holder, its copyright has expired, or it is ineligible for copyright. This applies worldwide.	This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which are in the Public Domain and have no copyright.

These templates are for use on a user's personal page, those in the User: namespace. These are optional however, some are only to be placed on a user's page by an admin to indicate the status of a banning or that they are in breach of wiki rules.

{{Userpage}} User Page Notice	This is a PhiladelphiaWiki user page. If you find this page on any site other than PhiladelphiaWiki, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated, and that the user this page belongs to may have no personal affiliation with any site other than PhiladelphiaWiki itself. The original page is located at http://philadelphia.wikia.com/wiki/Philadelphia:Templates/All_Templates.	This template may be placed on a user's page to display a notice so that if the site is mirrored elsewhere on the internet and not kept up to date, a link will remain to this site and the most up to date version of their personal page.
{{InactiveUser}} Inactive User	This user is currently temporarily inactive. This may be caused by the user taking a vacation, not having an Internet connection, or other reasons. This does not imply the violation of any of the PhiladelphiaWiki policies.	This template may be placed on a user's page to display a notice that they will not be around for a while. User's may do this if they want to let other know they are not going to be around to read messages or do editing.
{{ContributorU|Article Name}} Contributor User Page	This Philadelphia Wikian has an article about them: Article Name the article	This template should be placed at the bottom of user pages of editors who also have articles about them in Philadelphia Wiki. Also, to link back from the article, please place the Contributor template on the article.
{{Dontvandalize}} Don't Vandalize	Please do not vandalise PhiladelphiaWiki. Vandalism is frowned upon here, and you will be blocked if you do not stop.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's talk page as a warning to stop vandalizing the wiki. It may be removed by anyone, but it is recorded elsewhere that the vandalism took place.
{{Dontvandalize2}} Don't Vandalize 2	Please stop the vandalism. You will be banned if you continue to vandalize PhiladelphiaWiki.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's talk page as a warning to stop vandalizing the wiki. It is used in more serious cases of vandalism. It may be removed by anyone, but it is recorded elsewhere that the vandalism took place.
{{BlockedUser|1 day|looking at me funny}} Blocked User	This user has been banned from editing PhiladelphiaWiki for 1 day by ruling of the administrators. This is because of looking at me funny.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's page or talk page when they have been banned from editing pages. It will state how long the ban is for and why it was given. It should only be removed by administrators once the ban is lifted.
{{User Administrator}} Administrator userbox	This user is a PhiladelphiaWiki administrator.	This template is used to indicate that a user is a PhiladelphiaWiki administrator. Avoid using this if you are not, as it may bring the wrath of those who are. :-)
{{welcome}} New registered editor welcome	Welcome to PhiladelphiaWiki! Thank you for registering an account. We here at PhiladelphiaWiki look forward to working with you. Let us know if you need any help not already provided. :-)	This template is used to welcome new registered editors. Usage: {{subst:welcome}} ~~~~

[edit] Revision Templates

These templates are for if you come across an article that needs improving in some way. Of course you yourself should have a go at doing the revision but if that is not possible, please attach the correct tag so that others can do so.

[edit] Protection Templates

These templates are for use by administrators on pages when they are locked for protection. Please contact an administrator if you feel a page needs protection.

Template Name	Example	Where to use
{{Protected-Vandal}} Vandal Protection	To protect this page from vandalism, this page has been locked. Until the the vandalism has abated, please discuss its contents on the article's discussion page. At this time, only the Administrators can edit and/or unlock this page.	This tag will be used when a page has been subject to Vandalism and needs protecting for its own safety. It will eventually be removed when interest in the page has lowered.
{{Protected-Dispute}} Dispute Protection	This page has been locked due to a dispute over its contents. Until the dispute has been resolved, please discuss its contents on the article's discussion page. At this time, only the Administrators can edit and/or unlock this page.	This tag will be used when a page covers a subject that is highly disputed, and agreement has not yet been reached, leading to edit wars. Once agreement over its content is approved, the page will be unlocked.
{{Protected-System}} System Pages	This page has been protected since it contains important information that should not be changed except by Administrators. You may talk about its contents on the discussion page.	Pages marked with this tag contain important information about the wiki and are most likely going to be locked perminantly. In some places where it would be inappropriate to put this tag on the page itself, (like the Main Page) it will be placed on the article's talk page instead.

[edit] Warning Templates

These templates are for placing a warning. If you feel there is something wrong regarding either the point of view or the accuracy of an article, you may use these templates. You can also use the third template after the disputes are resolved.

{{NPOV}} Neutral Point Of View	Please see the discussion on the talk page. While PhiladelphiaWiki may not require total neutrality, the point of view of this article is disputed.	Place this tag near the top of an article if you think it is, overall, giving a biased view of the subject. Articles should try to list both good and bad aspects of their subjects and reflect many points of view while not having one itself.
{{Dubious}} Dubious Statement	This section is disputed — please see the talk page.	Place this tag near a statement in an entry that is of dubious accuracy. Explain why on the talk page. If the article as a whole is of dubious accuracy, use the Disputed Content template instead.
{{Disputed}} Disputed Content	The factual accuracy of this article is disputed. Please see the relevant discussion on the talk page.	Place this tag near the top of an article if you think the truth of an article's content is disputed. If the true facts are not known and something is 'rumor', they need to be clearly labeled so this tag is not required. Use this only if rumor is presented as fact.
{{Controversial}} Controversial	This topic contains controversial issues, some of which have reached a consensus for approach and neutrality, and some of which may be disputed. Please read the talk page discussion before making substantial changes.	Place this tag at the bottom of an article if the article contains some controversial subjects and might spark fights over its content, despite the fact that disputes have already happened and have been resolved.

[edit] Split and Merge Templates

These templates are to be used if either an article covers too much, covers too little or is too similar to another article. See their descriptions for more details.

{{Split}} Article needs Splitting	It has been suggested that this article be split into multiple articles accessible from a disambiguation page. (Discuss)	If the article covers too large a subject area or its sub-sections might be worth making into articles of their own, mark the topic at the top with this tag. Use the talk page then to describe why you think the article should be split and what sections are worth making into their own articles.
{{Merge|article}} Article needs Merging	It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Article. (Discuss)	If the article covers too small a subject area or its contents are largly duplications of another article, adding only a little extra, mark it with this tag near the top of the page. State your reasons on the talk page, and also tag and post to the talk page on the article you wish to merge with.
