The Phiadelphia Zoo was America first Zoo.The Zoo opened its gates on July 1, 1874. On the first day 3,000 people came to the Zoo. In the first years of opening the zoo had 813 animals and 228,000 vistors. Now the Zoo is home to 1,300 animals and 1.3 vistors a year.
